Integrity Plumbing and Drain is here for our customers in this time of uncertainty, as we are throughout the rest of the year.
Our #1 concern is the safety of our customers, as well as our employees. We understand that this is a very serious situation and we are taking more precautionary measures to keep our customers and our plumbers protected.
On a normal day, our plumbers wipe down and sanitize after themselves, but even more so now that we are in a pandemic. They are to wear gloves to every call and are careful to only touch the areas that need attention. Once the job has been completed, they wipe down any area that they’ve touched and spray with Lysol, if approved by the customer. They are to wear booties to cover their shoes in order to keep your home uncontaminated. We will be keeping a safe distance of at least 6 feet and would kindly ask that our customers do the same. With the virus spreading so rapidly from person to person, some clients would prefer to be in another room during the time of service and to only communicate via phone. Our plumbers are happy to do this and will not be offended.
We are also now screening calls. We need to know if our customers have traveled in the past 30 days, if they’ve had symptoms or have been exposed to someone with symptoms, or if they’ve tested positive for COVID-19. This is not only for the safety of our plumbers but for the safety of our customers. If a customer answers yes to any of these questions, they will be put on a waiting list. Also, as part of the screening, we ask if there is anything that the customer would like us to do that would make them feel more comfortable.
The White House has identified plumbers as “essential critical infrastructure workers” and has advised us to continue normal operations, validating that our industry is vital to the United States.
